The temple of the second temple period. This building was 160 feet high. There were very few buildings in the ancient world that were that tall. You can get some idea of how over whelming this building must have looked to the people of the time. The Dome of the Rock mosque now sits on the foundations of this temple.

On the right side of the neigbhorhood we see the Pool of Siloam. The right side of the pool is the Palaces of Helena Queen of Adiabene. The Kidron Valley is the right side of the picture.

We see the edge of the Valley of Hinnom. The Mariamme tower is right center with the larger Phasael Tower in the center. The Hippicus Tower is behind the Hippicus Tower. This area is just to the west of the Temple.
