Vanishing Point - Antarctic Installation

Sculptural installation representing Antarctica by Tasmanian artist Angela Griffiths.
Installed in Hobart's Salamanca area for the month of July 2008. Each light is made of a fine ceramic cone lit from below. The blue areas indicate those areas on the continent that are currently melting from the effects of global warming. See http://angelagriffiths.com/ for more of Angela's work.
