What vibrant photographs of a wonderful but terribly sad country. We were visiting in March next year before the brutal response of the Junta to the monks and Burmese people. I don't think we should call the country Myanmar until this despicable military dictatorship is swept away and the rightfully elected government is installed . They call it Burma.

Nice gallery! Although Shwedagon Paya is overrun with tourists and I generally prefer the forested mountains of Myanmar, it's always a nice place to return (just like Mandalay Hill).
