I'm glad you liked France, though it's a pity to hear you hated Paris. I can only guess it has to do with your stay at the Stella (not exactly a typical French hotel) and over use of the metro system. Next time, take the buses. It's a much more civilised way to see the sights. And don't be afraid to eat elswhere than McDonald's.
