(thanks Ray, I was too lazy tonight to make any research)

This is one of the few shots I had the time to take
before a security guard made me stop taking photos
for security reasons. Shame because I wanted to take more pictures
Isn't this place a public place?
It is getting really difficult those days to take photos anywhere...
It feels like freedom is shrinking sometimes...

Beautiful black and white photo and the pattern is so great.
I symphatize with you Kim, me too had that same experience when we had a short trip in
Germany. I was also stopped by the security guard to take photos because I was using tripod. I never thought that taking photo using a tripod is forbidden.

Unfortunately, this nonsense about photography being forbidden for security reasons is spreading like the plague. I find it really very unsettling. But this shot is a very lovely image, Kim, and that is all that counts.

Beautiful shot Kim - great symmetry. I had the same thing happen at Liverpool Street a while back, although I managed to get them to let me stay for half an hour. Stations aren't strictly public places as far as I know, so they probably can make you stop, but what a waste of time - how long would it take a terrorist to find a photo of this roof online - it's been there long enough! Better luck next time.

Beautiful image.
Have had issues with security in the US yet but a friend did while shoting in Washington DC. The long lens he was using made the police around the Capitol a bit nervous apparently.

You are right. And here in Athens in metro there are restrictions in taking photos.
I think that if you take a permission paper you won't have any problem.
