splendid photograph, these trees solidified by the white frost are of a beautiful effect!

As I said in my comment, the unneccesary objects in the shot are the bar of the chairlift and I think (d'oh!) my hand shading the lens. Now, of course I could totally remove all the unwelcome objects, or simply crop it tighter in the case of the bar. But, then I would lose the background which so dramatically displays the perspective of the scene...how high the shot is...the valley extending beyond. Oooh, I can't wait for winter!!! i really enjoyed this shot... ...though after having lived in ny for 21 years, i definitely like not being in snow - you can get to it from here in the sonoran desert, but you don't have to...

it is a shame about the blurry object on the left though...

When the snow has blown all night, and the sun is gloriously shining at the top of the mountain (this is Spruce)..there is an unearthly glow (as seen in several of my mountaintop shots). It's surreal and tremendously beautiful. The light makes this shot as the steel bar of the chairlift is in the way etc.
