The site of the Ming Dynasty Tombs (明朝十三陵) was chosen by the 3rd Ming Dynasty emperor Yongle (1402 to 1424) actually covers 40 square kilometre area at the foot of the Dayu mountain. As the Chinese name suggests there are actually 13 royal tombs in the area. This particular album only covers the Dingling tomb which many consider to be the representative royal tomb of the Ming Dynasty tombs. Not particularly a lot to see but there was a museum of sorts. We also went to visit another part of the Ming Tombs known as the Scared Way.
