After picking up our rental vehicle (decent Dodge minvan), we spend Thursday night at "Pelican Beach Villas"; clean and relatively inexpensive. The curious part: our name is on a list at the office when we arrive, showing that we're in Unit 2. We check and the unit is open, with the key inside. We never do see anyone that night or the next morning, so off we go (I had, of course, provided my credit card when booking online). Things are indeed laid back on Abaco. The challenge is now to remember to drive on the "wrong" side of the road.
