The Bastai is a grouping of picturesque vertical sandstone formations that tower over the west bank of the Elbe in the "Saxon Switzerland" region of southern Saxony.

After cruising to the Bastai, our ship returned to Dresden for our disembarkation the following morning. On the return journey we passed the Pillnitz Palace built by Augustus the Strong.
