If you ask Michigan residents, they will say they'll be happy when summer arrives. It's been cool and overcast on many "summer" days so far. On previous visits to the island, yards have been filled with bright, colorful flowers. There are flowers this year, but nothing like we've seen in past years. If you're coming to Michigan this year, bring some sweaters, a warm hat and an umbrella.
