Since we weren't in a big rush, we decided to visit Twin Lakes above Bridgeport. When we first moved to California in 1968, we borrowed some camping equipment from a friend and made a quick visit to Yosemite. On the way, we stopped at Twin Lakes to visit Sandy's Aunt Dorothy and her husband, Floyd, who were serving as campground hosts at the lake. We hadn't been back since. The lake area was beautiful in 1968 and still looked as nice now. Fishing in the lakes and streams in the eastern Sierra is excellent. Twin Lakes even had a thriving population of Kokanee Salmon.
