our connecting flight to Kiritimati left on time, but 45 minutes into the flight we turned
back to Nadi because of a problem with a generator. apparently there are 3 generators
on this aircraft, and although only 1 wasn't working they are not allowed to take-off
with a faulty generator, and because there is no way of repairing a generator in
Kiritimati, we had to return to Nadi for the repairs. Air Pacific put us up in
a hotel and we departed next day around 1200.
