Looking up, a strange object came within sight;
something you wouldn’t expect to take flight;
a diamond shaped head made it sail,
and its tentacles were part of the tail,
of this colourful cephalopod kite.

The hovering form, shaped like a squid,
was attached to a string, and held by a kid.
It rode the wind in a bright blue sky;
and although these things don’t usually fly
this calamari configured, kite, did!
