I was at this show, as well as the last 4 of them....your pictures are amazing! I'd appreciate it if you could please contact me and let me know what kind of equipment I should be looking at so that I might take better pictures at Thunder over Michigan 2007!

Fabulous gallery, some images are simply looking like taken from other plane ! Amazing drive from those people who preserve and maintain this great collection of vintage airplanes ! How often and when this show happens, I assume this is in Detroit area on the way from Sarnia ?

I know it's a little late, but what a wonderful bunch of photos, I envy you, wish I could have been there. I am a little disappointed though, there were no Corsairs, the best of the lot.

I was at the same show, I have many pics like yours. My heart was in over drive seeing all these great old planes. My dad flew the B24 & B25 during WWII so it meant alot to both my brother and me to see them flying. Your shots are great, I only wished I had shown up early in the morning to get some one on one shots without all the folks standing around. I can't say which one I like best, ok all of them.

Fabulous photos!!! I'm a member of the Yankee Air Museum, and have been to quite a few of the shows, but none as moving at this year. 8 B-17's flying in formation was just a little to much for the tear ducts!! I hope it is kept WW2 only. Means more to those who served then. Thanks for sharing!!

Absolutely awesome gallery. I've shot some at Osh Kosh and at Rhinebeck, using no longer than a 300mm on my Nikons, with nowhere near - not even on the same planet - as your pictures. Knowing how difficult it is to get even acceptable shots makes me even more appreciative of the amazing ones you have, time after time after time. Terrific.

Kieth; These are some of the most beautiful photos of these planes I have ever seen. I'm 77 years old and when I was sixteen I worked in the experimental machine shop and also the model shop at Lockheed Aircrafr in burbank, and I've always loved these old war birds. By the way my avocation now is digital photography and I've been torn between the Rebel XT and the EOS20D. Your pix make it a tough decision.My best to you, Al Lee

WOW. Simple amazing shots! The 3 - P47's Thunderbolts in formation, in a turn is my favorite. Also loved the B17 conversions to B&W. Very nice work.

What a great event to photograph! And you've created a great gallery from it. I'm used to seeing these aircraft in grainy B&W images from WWII. It's really fun to see these same aircraft photographed by a modern camera & lens. Thanks for posting!
