such a shame, i hate to see this happen to these old army bldngs.. ya know its a shame they didnt restore alot of these if not the whlole bas years ago.. but hope one day someone will... let's hope someone does do it before its all gone, the older forts of the 1800's and 1900's have all mostly been restored if not all of them..... so youd think this one would be too.. maybe the city of mineral wells will do that someday.. glad to see the gate has been.... im with you sherry i hope he gets it.. i grew up after the fort was closed and always have had a Fascination with the fort. always will

john gore, our respected police officer burnt this building down and others at fort wolters. i hope he gets what coming to him when he goes to court. i love the history and respect all the old buildings at fort wolters. if i had the money, i would restore everything that i could. thank your for your pics from then and now. wish i could go back in time and see what it was like in the days of fort wolters.
