Sakar UMCS Zoom lens 28-200 test

I bought a cheap lens off Ebay, the Sakar UMCS Zoom 28-200mm 1:3.5-5.6. I think it was made by Tokina from Japan. Sakar lenses sometimes also carried the Vivitar brand. It is an autofocus lens for the Minolta 7000. It has mixed reviews. I tried it on my Sony Alpha A200. These are some pictures I took with it. It wasn't meant for a digital camera but it works acceptable. Sometimes the depth of field is a bit strange, and you have to be at least three yards away from your subject before it will focus. I think I'll keep it anyway. It is very heavy, about 800 grams, and the autofocus motor uses a lot of power, so bring a spare battery if you use this lens.
