During the ceremony, the men are almost exclusively involved. The women however perform a very important background role. They cook huge and often very tasty meals to feed the large group of participants and visitors. This is my first lunch in this house, and will be followed by many more in the days following. For these meals several pigs are killed, and there is almost always someone working in either of the two cookhouses.
