Well, Maxie is almost a year old (July 9), and we're finally starting to understand each other. I can remember when Nathan (his namesake) was young, Steve and I bought a book called "The Strong-Willed Child." Well, I should probably try to find a book called "The Strong-Willed Puppy," because this is one stubborn and strong-willed animal. And intelligent. I could swear he's got cognitive thinking skills. Anyone who says dogs don't have real decision-making skills is wrong. This one is more intelligent than some people I know.

Well, Seth was over the other day and took some pics of me playing with Max. It's a little difficult getting decent play pictures when I'm the only one here, so I finally got some cute ones. Enjoy. -kdsg
