26 Apr 09

Sunday Morning, 3:36 a.m.

Audrey and I heard a knock on the door around 3:00 a.m.
It was a neighbor letting us know that there was a tornado warning
and large hail possible. Living in Tornado Alley, we go through this every so often.

There is a church with a large basement less than a block away from our house that many people go to when the sirens go off.
We got to the church, and the sirens started to sound.
A few minutes later hail started to fall. The largest pieces were like large marbles.
Parts of the state had much larger hail. We stayed around 45 minutes and went back home.
There were several tornadoes in this part of the state, but we did not see any of them here.
