Canon EF-S 17-55 2.8 IS

I just bought this lens and thought I use it for a project I have in mind. It seems to be very good.
I was amazed at the detail I had of some buildings that were over 5 miles away. The reason
I bought the lens was that my Tamron had trouble locking focus on some pumpkins
in the the near darkness available light. Remember, this is a point and shoot person's opinion.
