To increase the contrasty "watercolor" look, I duplicated the watercolor effect layer,
and then created a third layer in "paint daubs" using a small brush and low black level.
This created a very recognizeable painterly effect, and fair detail in the shadows and highlights,
though not as much as the original photo.
