Sometimes there is very limited access to sailboard launch sites.
At the Hatcheries, large boulders line the shore, as well as trees, making it necessary to assemble the sail
in the clear parking area, and carry the board and sail through the undergrowth and over the rocks to the water.
From there, it was "clear sailing" in a faster section of the Columbia River.
