This was an interesting artifact we've never seen in America: the dog gate.
The fence is built with a crossing in mind. The human walks up a slight ramp and over two rails.
Although some dogs could probably handle that task, for those with less agility, a lift-up gate they can go under is provided.
Come to think of it, some bigger dogs wouldn't have managed that!
