Rose portrait: Brandy

I spent about an hour trying to get the light right on this. I still think it could be better but I do have other things to do today! I took about 40 shots and got so frustrated I almost started drinking the props.

This is very nice. If you want an idea--try something besides white as a background.

This has a lot going for it. Looks a bit like the light painting effect Angela does. Give it a rest and revisit the idea in a couple of weeks if you're not satisfied.

Grinning at your frustration leading to drinking of the brandy..been there which I am sure many of us have. We have a certain "look" in mind, yet camera does not cooperate. However, I find this to be well executed. The soft light on the petals, and through the brandy itself lends itself to a romantic feel. Very nice.
