Busy Bees

Yesterday I went out to see how much gas we had left in our
propane tank and I found these bees making a beehive. I ran
back to the house and grabbed my camera and step stool. Beck
stood by patiently so he could spray the bees. Nope I didn't
get stung.

a hornet common to the northwest called yellow jackets.
been stung by these varmits too many times while out in the woods.

Oh wow. What we won't do for our art! This is a really great shot. And 80mm is soooo close. I might get close up & personal with bears, but I'd be afraid to ever mess with hornets. You are a very daring girl. Great capture. I can even see the flutter of wings that indicate that the hornets were active when you shot them.
