Bird Of Prey

Best viewed in orginal size.

Yesterday I went to one of my favorite
places on the coast. Much to my surprise
I found a Bald Eagle. This is my first
attempt to take a photo of this bird.
Camera was hand held. Wish I had a longer lens.

Today it is 23 degrees out. Our coldest morning
so far.

Nikon D70
1/1600s f/5.6 at 300.0mm iso200 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Nice shot. Glad to see the Bald Eagles are coming back.

Excellent capture. Birds, unfortunately, are why $10,000 glass was invented. It takes a very long lens (and a strong back to carry it) to get the shots one sees in magazines, books, etc. Plus a blind and plenty of time and patience...

Terrific capture.
A nice reminder for me to travel across the Golden Gate Bridge to see the
migration of these raptors.
