GARELOCH ONE DESIGNS

The Gareloch One Designs of 1924, designed by Ewing McGruer and built at the McGruer boatyard on the Gareloch NW of Glasgow, are a most unusual class. All 16 of the wooden boats built for this class have been traced and brought back to the Gareloch from other parts of Britain, and with the restoration of Dione in 2017, all boats are in sailing condition. It's an impressive and successful situation.
