South Africa - August 2010

Five birding friends and one great photographer, Builder, toured South Africa from August 1 to August 19, 2010. Our leader was Gavin Lautenberg from Rockjumper Tours. For my non-birding friends, there are two species of Rockjumpers found in South Africa: the Drakensberg and the Cape. We saw both, plus over 400 more species of birds, as well as a large number of mammals. Every day of this tour had its highlights. It was exhilarating and exhausting, but well worth it.
