Sections of the old Route from the 1930's are closed down now.

It runs parallel to the section I was driving on ... see left of picture.

Karen ... this section of road runs parallel to the existing Route 66. It was the original road back from the 1930's. It runs for at least 20 miles that I saw.

Did your GPS take you there? Mine took me to a dirt road in Quebec.
