KarlaJ,

I love the Sixteen album : ) which songs did you sing on ?

I can't believe you are familiar with Tammy Sue's "16"! Yes I sang on it! And I LOOOOVE Tim! Such a funny, kooky guy! I did have to be released earlier, before fully completing the album tracks due to a pesky goiter, but when I was there, it was a ball being around Tammy Sue!

Another church group has purchased the hotel and it is being revamped. I visited the website found on a Google search. Karla, I was working there and worked with Tim Miner on Tammy Sue's "16" album. Did you sing on this??

So what's the status of the hotel? Any chance of it reopening, or being acquired by a chain, or...?

Wow! Since Tammy Faye's death, I have been on a ride back in time. I sang for PTL in college. The first rooms finished in the Grand Hotel were the PTL Singer/ Christmas City singers' dressing rooms(mine). I met a lot of famous people including all of the Bakkers.
Tammy Sue was only 16 and I sang with her.
That was the last Christmas City they ever had.

I attended the auction that sold the furniture here in this pic. Along with other items that were sold from the Former PTL. I purrchased some things to include a beautiful ornated trash can . Does it mean anything to me ? No! It was inexpensive and it serves a purpose. My thoughts of this Christian retreat are blended between good and evil. I whole heartedly believe that Jim Bakker had the best intentions to share his love of God. However I believe that Mr. Bakker became limitless to his lifestyle and failed in depending on the guiding word of God for direction. I believe that he loved his wife and family and set no boundry line for their desires. I believe that he cracked the door and the devil did a home invasion. I Believe that Mr. Bakker secretly suffered, inwardly suffered a degree of unhappiness, depression, jealously, and despair in his marriage to Tammy. If he has repented of his sins, he is forgiven ! It would be comforting to know that he now serves our gracious God, and only glances at the past........................ a reminder to focus on the future in ever depending on Jesus.

I worked there 85 through 87 in several capacities. Many great memories of my time there and some I wish I could forget. God's grace is truly sufficient and I know that is the "special feeling" you described. Sin is sin and the wages are death. The old decaying property is a result of sin. But, God can restore and from what I hear, restoration and renovation are taking place!
God is good!!

thr Radison Hotel tried to run the grand hotel but it failed. Also the waterpark opened up and also failed. It was not in Gods plan for the secular world to operate Heritage USA.

This was an amazing hotel. I cant believe no one took over this wonderful hotel and waterpark, even a secular group would have made a fortune with this place. What a shame to let the place go like this.
