light. on a walk we had on the first evening. it was getting dark. i think the area between the centre and the railway station is called vaksali.

uhm.yes, i noticed the new windows. and else. its good to know. yes, surely, i didnt spot the hooks. they look approximately the correct width for a swing (i think you meant swing when you said "see saw".)...

Thank you. / We walked along the Tõnissoni street, looked at the houses around... And father asked me to stop and take a photo of the light window (not this photo, though, but a closer i didn't put here). So, father spotted. / I am not sure what is that red metal structure. You see, there are two hooks in it. Could it be a place for a seesaw? Or (together with a smilar one), a place to hang washed clothes to? At the moment it didn't seem to have any use. / The battered wall... I think from neglect. But it may look more serious than it is, it is just the paint fading away. Although not so nice that either... I must say, i see some charm in worn-out structures like this wall, even if it at the same time isn't so nice to think that someone lives there. But i don't know enough to tell more. There are quite a lot dilapidated houses in Tartu. And a lot finely repaired in very good condition, they among each other. I'm not sure how poor are the people living in these. Like i said, it is almost in the centre. And in the yards of many dilapidated houses, there are still very fine cars. In wooden houses there were often new, repaired windows, although the houses had a very worn-out paint. It made me and father think that people have started the renovation from inside. Probably it also means that people who rent the flats care more about their condition than the flat-owners. But also, yes, there is a lot of poverty in Estonia. / I hope this explanation makes any sense. It'd be good to have some local to ask things, when walking. / And what do i see. Interesting colour and surface. A contrast between the light window and the rest of the wall. A piece of the reality in Tartu. I don't know...

another curious compostion. i wonder, how you spoted it. uhm. are the goal-posts? or a childrens playground climbing frame, or what? uhm. they dont look the right size for football goal posts. the wall, has been battered. from cold? from war? from neglect? i find it rather, uhm. uncomfortable, somehow. thought, there, just off center is a sign of life amid such delote surrodings. what do you see in this photograph? i'd be curious to know.
