Ok, it's not a one way fits all, there are 2 variants that create 4 different operations, but there are still only 2 ways to connect the hoses.

These 2 varients are:

1. SWING FRAME vs SLIDER FRAME
A swing frame pushes the timing rod, slider frames pull the timing rod. So the 3 way works the same but in the opposite direction so front and rear 3 way lp hoses must be reversed.

2. 2 ORING vs 3 ORING 3-WAY SHAFT.
They work in the opposite direction. The center oring only redirects air front to rear on the 3 oring tpye. On the 2 oring design the 2 outter orings vent and close the venting of the 2 outter barbs.. thus they do the same thing in opposite directions.

Here are the 4 options:

1. Slider w/ two oring 3way = front barb of 3way connects rear barb of ram, rear barb of 3way connects to barb on tip of ram.

2. Slider w/ Three oring 3way = rear barb of 3way connects rear barb of ram, front barb of 3way connects to barb on tip of ram.

3. Swing w/ two oring 3way = rear barb of 3way connects rear barb of ram, front barb of 3way connects to barb on tip of ram.

4. Swingw/ Three oring 3way = front barb of 3way connects rear barb of ram, rear barb of 3way connects to barb on tip of ram.
