...stubby's right foot is partly gone and he has only the stubs of the
web and toes for that foot... so the owner of the baitshop has been feeding
him for over 14 years; he goes out onto the pier and claps and stubby makes
a wide arc figure eight circle before he comes in for the handout...stubby
tolerates the petting and scratching that the fellow inflicts on him..
stubby is coming into his breeding plumage... his feathers on his chest and head
are turning yellow and his eyes are getting bluer.. he will develop a deeper green
around his eyes and bill...
