Kim, Jeannie and I spent an afternoon at the Bronx Zoo, but didn't manage our time well. So we spent a good deal of time at the Red Pandas because they are so cool, and didn't get to see the lions or elephants at all, but the Red Pandas were so awesome, it's understandable I think. I took about 400 pictures in total, about 100 of which where of the red pandas...
Of course I also learned an important photography lesson: no matter how good your lens glass is, when you put cages and baby-hand-smeared glass in between your lens and the animal, your pictues aren't going to be super sharp.
Also, I am proud to say that three people suffered minor injuries as a result of hitting my camera, including a small child whose head met all three pounds of my new lens up close.
