We kept passing the camera back and forth across the cab of the truck when a bird would pop up on one side of the vehicle. With both of us ready, wherever the bird happened to be, we usually got a chance that morning to snap off some images. Melanie grabbed this shot as the wren really put everything he had into his prolonged song. We had two birds singing from either side of the road at the same time for several minutes, leaving us both reaching for the camera at the same time. Melanie won the tug-of-war on this one, and captured a great image of this singer.
