Summertime at the Salton Sea can be fairly miserable in terms of the nasty hot humid weather, pesky insects, and the rotten stench coming up off of the sea itself. But the bird activity can be very good. We passed on going to this spot for a long time before we finally broke down and visited. It was about 110 degrees that afternoon. But we saw some nice wildlife.
