The early morning takeoffs here are legendary photo-ops in the nature photography world. Judging by the frequency with which I come across images of these birds taken at the Bosque, it seems every published nature photograher in the west has experienced the amazing rush of shooting images of these huge birds. I can tell you, it is an experience worth the effort to get there, no matter how many other photographers have come before. Good clean fun indeed!
