The habitat along the Lontla Trail is a classic example of the amazingly diverse cloud forests to be found in Mexico. Our visit during the hurricane season meant that it rained all day for 5 out of the 7 days we spent in the area. Melanie took advantage of a "break" in the weather to snap off this image of the forest with me standing at the lower left of the frame to provide a sense of scale in a forest with a nearly 150-foot canopy.
