Butterflies of the Lower Rio Grande Valley, Texas. Oct-Dec, 2004

This gallery is dedicated to the many colorful butterflies and skippers we found during our stay at Santa Ana National Wildlife Refuge in south Texas. All of these images are of wild butterflies we came across in the field, and were taken at either Santa Ana NWR, Laguna Atascosa NWR, on the grounds at the Mission Butterfly Festival, or at the Edinburg Wetlands in south Texas.
