Folding prop rubber powered glider 2

Me on the left holding the plane and my brother James on the right winding up the rubber band for a flight of his folding propellor glider 19/05/1968. One sad day it caught a thermal and never came back.

Acrtually it was a replica of a winning Coup d'Hiver competition rubber powered freeflight, complete with auto release of a micro Red Baron Fokker Triplane that would loop-the-loop from 50m up where it was released. V. sadly, never finished the dethermaliser and so lost it one day when it just flew away from Nunawading. As it never returned despite its "please return to" label, I can only conclude it flew to some inhabited part of the Earth, perhaps the Bermuda Triangle with MH370, Cheers, James
