Katie Broer has restored old Collierville photos made by Bessie Dean Parr, mother-in-law of our Elizabeth Parr. Bessie Dean Parr operated a photo studio on the west side of the Square near Dr. Parr's dentistry office. Katie's father Rick acquired the glass plates from Elizabeth's husband about 25 years ago. They were able recently to scan in the images to the computer and make prints of amazing quality from these old plate negatives made with a view camera. Congratulations, Katie, on such a gift to the Collierville community. Katie is also restoring the old Bessie Dean Parr home. The photos are displayed in what was once a dogtrot through the home.
