Panoche Valley and Mercey Hot Springs

The Panoche Valley is located in San Benito County and it is one of the premier winter birding locations in central California. We drove down to Hollister and then took small County roads to the Valley. We stayed for 4 days at Mercey Hot Springs. We were busy exploring the nearby trails and backroads for wildlife and scenic landscapes.
If you are looking for a place off the beaten track this is it.
We hope to return some day and explore in depth the nearby hills.
