I was taking my daughter out to Friendly's for ice
cream to celebrate her "graduation" from kindergarten!
The first child in our family. I told her I'll take
just her n' me to Friendly's every year for ice cream
upon her graduation. She asked, "Even when I am in college?"
I laughed and said "of course". I saw that I started a
tradition right there and then. I knew in my heart I will
be taking each and every child there and I have four.
Just to think, Friendly's was a spur of the moment thing.

I was admiring the architecture of the dividers and how
people looked through them and I suddenly realized that
while admiring it, that I could share this on my deaf
PAD.

I have to admit my lip reading skills are excellent.
Often times, if I pay attention close enough, I can
catch the entire conversation if the person is at
the next table or a little farther away from me. It's
all in being discreet! However, I try not to "listen"
to other people but my lip reading skill definitely
comes in handy when somebody is trying to tell me
something from across the room! Often times, my
husband tells me something that he doesn't want
anyone to hear. :-)
