Phaeolepiota aurea

Morrell Nature Sanctuary

Edible for most people, but mildly poisonous to some.
It's a tempting specimen, but try it cautiously if you must.

Oops, now I'm in trouble.........because I'm doubting this ID. Hope to have it solved before too long. All depends on whether or not these critters pop up again this month at the same location. Thanks for the feedback!!

Hi Judy,
Yes, this looks exactly the same as my Phaeolepiota aurea?
Mine must have the wrong ID, I got the name from Match Maker
Ian Gibson.
