I've always found it weird to have a pool next to a body of water.

Excellent! (The color of the water and subtle reflections)

I like all the lines - between the pool, the fence and then how it's broken up with the disk of the light.

Nice.

I really really need to jump in, right now. Nice perspective.

I want to dive in, swim a couple of lengths, then sit at the poolside with an ice-cold sparkling mineral water with a slice of lemon! Could you arrange that?
RodTO03-Aug-2004 19:40
Looks inviting!

Nope - I haven't touched it since the initial posting ... perhaps your vision is just a bit brighter now, Rick! Have you had a cup of coffee in the interim? LOL

It looks like you brightened this up a little since my first viewing....or my light has changed. In any event it looks more appealing this time around. As a study in geometry it's great and has been mentioned, that lone walker sneaking through the frame in the distance adds something. I wonder what a polarizing filter would have done for this image.

Like how you captured too the solitude of the person beyond the gates. Excellent composition.

Nice shot. I'm trying to see what is on the other side....it looks like water. That is what is so good about it, it brings you in.
Guest 03-Aug-2004 10:36
Makes you just want to divebomb right in!

A very lonely pool.

Aah I love this, how the verticals and horizontals take you all over the pic. The water seems so inviting too. I feel like taking a dip.

The tiny person at the other side of the pool is what makes this shot. Sweet!

Subtle, well composed image. I like the sole passerby. Is that Lake Ontario back there?
Merloz Paris03-Aug-2004 05:07
No diving, no fun :p nice shot !
