Li Minority is in San Ya City and the Yun Nan province. Their houses were built of grass and yellow clay and some houses were shaped like turtles or boats. While the young can speak Chinese, they speak mostly their own Li language. The parents of 13-year-old daughter will build a small house next to their main house in which it signifies that the girl is of age and ready to accept a man.
