In 7th grade one of our teachers, Mr. Knurr, took photographs of students with his Hasselblad
camera, then developed, mounted and displayed the photos for all to enjoy. I have two of these
photos which I have scanned in and posted in the class gallery. Mr. Knurr had a photo exhibition
for many years which featured the 7th grade students at Lakeshore. It is hard to fathom the amount
of time and effort it would take to create such an exhibition. Black foam board cut to the
dimensions of the photo was used as a backing. The photos were large, most 7" x 7" or larger.
I suspect his efforts reflected both his passion for photography and his interest in the kids that
went to school at Lakeshore over the years. I have few other candid photos from my youth that
capture my experience as a student so well as these photos, and none which come even close to
the fantastic clarity and composition seen here. Thanks Mr. Knurr! The photos are real treasures.
