Photo taken wedding day, January 24, 1943 on the car pad at the rear of the house located on the corner of East Main and Eastern Avenue.
The house was the residence of Luther and Lorine Thompson, later sold to Billy and Christine Layson and is now the Clark Funeral Home.
Luther Thompson shortly afterward began construction of the stone house next door on Eastern Avenue in which he and his wife lived until their death.
The stone house was purchased by H. W. Small shortly before Luther's death. Next door from the stone house is the office of
Thompson's Greenhouses and what is now Small's Florist & Greenhouses. Next up the street is the home of H.W. and Mary Thomponson Small,
where the four children (John, Susan, June and Cathy) were reared, and they lived until moving into the stone house shortly before Lorine's death.
The house above the office is now the residence of Larry and June Small Tincher.
