In search of both the Moses Sharp and George Small initially, we encountered this cemetery lying just beyond the county line from
Bath into Nicholas on the Lower Sharpsburg Road that leads, going away from Sharpsburg, to East Union. Eventually this cemetery was
identified as the Carter Cemetery. Here we find Abraham Shulse (1796-1874) and his wife Mary Jane Moler (1807-1880), married 1836.
His first wife Lydia Hayden, died at the age of 29 (1801-1830). She too appears in this cemetery's listing but we have so far not
located her grave.
