PGC 35345 (right side of image) is of type SB(r)ab HII and SDSS J112850.64+583336.7 is the connected
galaxy to the filament (below PGC 35345) and is of type S: pec sp. Together these two make up Arp
296 in the class of Double Galaxies with Long Filaments. Taken April 23, 24, 25, 26, 29 and April
30, 2019. Imaged with Starlight Xpress’ SX-825 camera and a Celestron EdgeHD 9.25 at f10, on a
Losmandy G11/Gemini mount. This is a crop of a larger image containing Arp 299 and Arp 296 see:

The L subframes were 12 minutes binned 1x1, while the RGB subframes were 5 minutes binned 2x2
resulting in the following total exposures L:R:G:B (min) = 504 : 80: 80: 80. Captured with Nebulosity,
calibrated and sigma combined in Iris with other processing using PixInsight LE and Photoshop CS.
